Orlando City falls to Dallas FC 2-0

The Orlando City Soccer team just wasn’t all the way there on Saturday July 11 , taking a hard loss to FC Dallas . With Orlando City’s star players Kaka out due to a suspension , Brek Shea , Martin Paterson , Connor Donovan all out for injuries , then having absent Cyle Larin for international call ups it was already looking rough for the Lions , especially since they only had 5 subs for the game as well . The game had a 30 minute delay due to the thunderstorm but it still would not help the Orlando City team much going in .
The FC Dallas team has only had one win away from home , and got their second one Saturday night . The Lions tried to hold off Dallas for a good 45 minutes before they could score ,but they could only hold them off so long before Dallas made their first goal , a penalty kick by Mauro Diaz causing Dallas to take the lead 0-1 .
After the first half , Dallas tried to keep their same energy from the first half going . Demesne Sean St Leager from Dallas would go down for the second time of the game with a shoulder incur , causing him to be removed by a stretcher .
Orlando’s Pedro Ribeiro would finally make a goal for the team in the 55th minute of the game ,but it would be called off because of offsides .
Dallas made their second goal by David Texiara in the 63rd minute of the game. The Lions didn’t come back so strongly after that . A carelss penalty kick by Rivas closed out the game for the Lions . The final score of the game was 2-0 .
The Lions will hopefully redeem themselves this Wednesday back at their home field agianst West Bromwich FC at 7:30 .
